The awards ceremony will be held Tuesday, November 14,  2017 at 7:00 PM the Midland Cultural Centre.  GMA will also be performing at the event, showcasing some new sketches from our upcoming revue, Coal Patrol.  Tickets are free, but limited.  Reserve your ticket ASAP at the MCC box office or online, here.

Fingers crossed!

48-Hour Film Challenge Underway!

The Good Morning Apocalypse gang / Midland Film Company have begun working on their 48Film Festival project, wherein teams write, film, edit and deliver a short film in just 48 hours.

GMA has participated in similar challenges before, creating Being Kevin, Fitting In, The Adventures of Jess Silver: International Yoga Instructor and most recently, the award-winning The Beast (Best Acting Ensemble).

The challenge began last evening when the team was given their “challenge pack” consisting of a genre, a character, a prop and a line of dialogue that must be included in the film.  We’re going to keep our challenge pack close to the chest for now (spoilers!).

As of this post, the team has completed filming and is moving on to the editing phase of the project.

Although the film will be completed by tomorrow night, we won’t be able to show you the film or tell you much of anything about it  until the competition closes at the end of November.  Stay tuned here or follow us on social media (FB, TW, IG) to see the results!
